Field Descriptions

Line Bandwidth - Internet
bandwidth. Most DSL and Cable provide different download and upload
speeds typically shown something like 3M/768K. The first number
typically represents your download speed, that is speed coming to
your computer from the Internet. The second number typically represents
your upload speed, that is speed leaving your computer out to the
Internet. When doing backups the second number, the upload speed
is what matters. When doing a restore the first number, the download
speed is what matters.
BW Units - the unit
(or multiplier) for the speeds. Just match the BW Units with the
letter following your upload or download speed. Note that upload
speed is typically much lower than your download speed.
Kbps
= Kilobits per second; Kilo = times 1,000
Mbps = Megabits
per second; Mega = times 1,000,000
Gbps = Gigabits
per second; Giga = times 1,000,000,000
Dataset Size - Combined
with the Dataset Units represents the amount of data to be sent
or received.
Dataset Units - The
units that go with the numerical amount of data. Values can be Kilobytes
(KB), Megabytes (MB), or Gigabytes (GB).
KB = Kilobytes;
Kilo = times 1,000
MB = Megabytes;
Mega = times 1,000,000
GB = Gigabytes;
Giga = times 1,000,000,000
